The high temperatures in the Middle East do not make daytime golf very attractive. To facilitate golf in the relatively cooler evenings, Emirates Golf Club illuminates its entire 18-hole golf course and driving range. Recently, the hundreds of conventional fixtures were replaced with AAA-LUX LED lighting, which has reduced the Emirates Golf Club’s energy consumption to less than half of the original situation.
In recent years, several golf projects in both the Middle East and Europe have been fitted with AAA-LUX LED lighting, some even bigger than this one in Dubai. ‘Beautiful projects like this are a great addition to the hundreds of projects we do every year,’ Wiggers believes, adding with a big smile, “and let’s face it, what a fantastic view of the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai”.
