Municipal football field of Vidreres

Light pollution is a significant challenge in many sports facilities, as it not only affects the surrounding environment but can also interfere with the visibility and comfort of players and spectators. In this project, this issue has been significantly minimized around the football field thanks to the implementation of new RS optics. These innovative optics have enabled precise light control, optimizing the illumination on the field while minimizing spillover into the surrounding areas.

The new RS optics are key to this project, as they efficiently cut off excess light, focusing illumination exactly where it’s needed—on the football field. Thanks to this technology, a minimal light level has been maintained in the areas surrounding the field, reducing light pollution in nearby zones. This not only enhances the visual experience for players and spectators but also helps preserve the nighttime environment, protecting sky quality and minimizing the impact on nearby wildlife and plant life. This solution demonstrates how technological innovation can help address environmental issues without sacrificing lighting functionality and quality.
