aaa-lux, LED LIGHTING FOR SPORTS EXPERT SINCE 2009

Today, sports clubs around the world are investing in sustainable, high – quality lighting solutions to future – proof their sport fields and stadiums. AAA – LUX, manufacturer of high power LED luminaires , is leading the way in this mission.

At AAA – LUX, we are architects of light, guardians of sustainability, committed to supporting our resellers and partners. We understand the importance of sports and aim to provide high-quality LED lighting to athletes everywhere, all while reducing our environmental footprint. But how did it all begin?

  • Our story
At the beginning of the 21 st century, replacing high power floodlighting was the last and most challenging step in converting the tot al lighting industry to LED. The city of Eindhoven in The Netherlands – also known as “the City of Light” – aimed to have the first outdoor sports field in the world, illuminated with LED. With many lighting experts in the city, companies were invited to propose solutions.

LEDexpert, a company specializing LED products, took on the challenge. Erik Swennen, the company’s founder, already had experience with LED solutions for tunnels, traffic lights, mobile phones and car headlights. He was trusted with the responsibility to fulfil this leap in technology.

In 2008, LEDexpert was assigned to light a demo field in Eindhoven. Within 2 years, it became the first LED-illuminated sports fied in the world, marking the beginning of AAA-LUX.

Unlike established lighting brands, AAA LUX did not heavily invest in marketing or brand recognition. Instead, the company focused on high mast illumination and continued investing in development, confident that results would bring success. The “new kid on the block” quickly gained a strong market position. Within fifteen years, AAA-LUX completed over six thousand projects in nearly sixty countries. Through an international family of partners, AAA-LUX quietly took a market share based on premium performances.
