Innovation rolls up as a world first at Northmead Bowls …and hits the Jack pot !!

Great launch last Friday night of worlds first LED lit bowls club at Northmead, Sydney, Australia- by AAA-LUX LED Sports field Lights. Great comments from National & Commonwealth Games Players on quality of play under LED’s superior lighting quality verse the 1970’s old technology -metal halide… “Much easier to play when you can see the Jack at the other end “!!
Congrats to Northmead Bowls Committee, Parramatta Lord Mayor Scott Lloyd & State MP Hon. David Elliott for leading NSW on innovation, sustainability, and energy efficiency- setting up this club with great lights and the opportunity for night time play…. And no mercury laden lamps for this club- wanting to lead the charge on environmental responsibility.

As with all other fields and stadiums lit by AAA-LUX LED sports field luminaires, the lights switched on instantly with no warm up needed.

The club has leveraged the smart control system and functionality that these lights provide. At the push of a button, 6 different lighting options are instantly delivered -dim, 50 lux close to the club for barefoot, and then three half greens for rotation and wear control, and full lights for night competition.
